English-Language Television and Radio in Israel

Israel has two main providers of television programs. Cable TV is provided by HOT, and satellite programs are provided by YES. Weekly program guides in English are available as supplements to the Friday print editions of the Jerusalem Post and the International Herald Tribune.

Both services offer access to old versions of syndicated American and British television programs, as well as English-language channels such as The History Channel and National Geographic. Both services also show English-language movies on several of their channels. English-language children's on channels such as Nickelodeon are dubbed in Hebrew.

ESRA also produces ESRAVision, a program for English speakers, on The Community Channel, Channel 98, and on METV (HOT Channel 73 and YES Channel 109). Check the For Your Information part of the Metro section of Friday's Jerusalem Post for times and programs.
